YAI Brighter Futures Society Spring event, “Royale!”
05/07/2009 - By Prince George Ballroom

YAI Brighter Futures Society Spring event, “Royale!”

Over 300 young professionals gathered at the Prince George Ballroom on Thursday, May 7th for the Brighter Futures Society Spring event, “Royale!”

The crowd sipped on top shelf cocktails and enjoyed gourmet h’ors d’oeuvres, all the while raising money to send kids with developmental disabilities to summer camp. The evening’s lineup included a dance performance by the BAILA Society and music by DJ Lina. The event was a “royal” success, helping to send 13 kids to camp, who otherwise would not be able to go.

The Brighter Futures Society, a group of young professionals committed to the mission of the YAI/NIPD Network, helps people with developmental and learning disabilities become inclusive members of their communities. BFS members participate in activities for people with special needs, such as crafts, basketball and bowling.

The Brighter Futures Society is always open to new members. BFS offers projects that can fit any schedule. To get involved, please contact dmallerman@yai.org.
