WINNING PLAY$ FINANCIAL LITERACY PROGRAM
SPECIAL PANEL AND FUNDRAISER MODERATED BY STACEY TISDALE & HOSTED BY LOREEN ARBUS

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – Stacey Tisdale, Winning Play$ founder/finance expert & television personality, moderated a special panel discussion at an invitation-only fundraiser for over 70 of the world’s most influential women on Wednesday, March 28, 2012. The event was hosted by Loreen Arbus, Disabilities Rights Activist/Producer/Philanthropist and the first woman to head up programming for a major U.S. television network, at her home in New York City.

The panelists discussed some of the unique social, political, and economic challenges woman are facing and discussed ways in which we can collectively identify and provide the kinds of support women need while enjoying musical performances by BETTY and Third World. Additionally, the fundraiser kicked-off the Women’s Empowerment Campaign, a collaboration with organizations and groups that will bring the Winning Play$ program to women to offer literacy skills and support. One of the first to implement the program was The Women’s Academy of Excellence, a high school for girls in the Bronx, adopted by Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Mary J. Blige.

ABOUT WINNING PLAY$
Winning Play$ is an award winning Life Skills and Financial Literacy program that uses a cognitive behavioral approach to financial literacy in kids and most recently, women, by providing built-in assessment tools, that will be delivered to high school students in partnership with NFL Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott’s foundation, All Stars Helping Kids. The program is made available to high schools and other non-profits. Winning Play$ is the winner of the 2011 National Association of Black Journalists Community Service Award and was the recipient of the U.S. Department of Education’s Excellence in Economic Education Award in 2010.
