The Jorge Posada Foundation 2010 Celebrity Basebowl Tournament Benefitting Craniosynostosis

The Jorge Posada Foundation is a non-profit organization established by the New York Yankees’ All-Star Catcher, Jorge Posada, and his wife, Laura.

Their son, Jorge Luis, was diagnosed with Craniosynostosis when he was just ten days old and has undergone eight major surgeries to correct the condition. The Posada Family strongly believes that they were touched by Craniosynostosis so that they could make a difference in the lives of others dealing with this condition.
On Sunday, November 7, 2010, The Celebrity Basebowl Tournament was held at Chelsea Piers in New York City to benefit children and families affected by Craniosynostosis (when an infant’s sutures fuse too early and it affects the growth of the brain). Current and former athletes, as well as various celebrities, came together for a good cause.
