On Saturday, May 19, 2012, Sidney and Morgan Stark graciously hosted a private performance and reception celebrating The Perlman Music Program (PMP) at their beautiful home in North Haven, New York.

Guests were greeted in the Starks’ expansive garden with wine and hors d’oeuvres, and enjoyed spectacular views of the Noyack Bay and Shelter Island Sound. After the welcome reception, violinists Miki Sophia-Cloud, Sean Lee, and Yoonhee Lee and pianists Peter Dugan and Dina Vainshtein presented an exclusive concert in the Starks’ spacious living room – the program included masterworks by Corigliano, Schubert, Beethoven, and Bartók. After the concert, guests celebrated Eleanor Albert’s birthday with impromptu accompaniment by pianist Peter Dugan and enjoyed dessert and coffee with the artists in the elegant dining room.
Before the concert began, Program Founder Toby Perlman thanked guests for their support and noted that the concert featured three of the ten PMP alumni selected to compete in the prestigious Walter W. Naumburg Foundation International Violin Competition to be held in New York City in June 2012. The evening’s performers were welcomed back to Shelter Island for an intensive weekend of rehearsals, coachings, and full-length performances at venues in Greenport, Shelter Island, and East Hampton. Board President and host Morgan Stark and his wife Sidney concluded the event with an expression of profound enthusiasm for PMP, and wished the alumni the very best from all in attendance as they prepare for the competition in June.
Guests included Nancy and Ben Achenbach, Eleanor and Garett Albert, Christine and Ran Blank, William Collage and Jack Collage, Catherine Creedon and Scott Sandell, Christina and David DeForest Keys, Becky and Loic De Kertanguy, William and Diane Dreher, Cynthia Turner, Alexandra Eames and Christopher Leonard, Marie and John Evans, Amy and John Wickersham, Don Filippelli, Laura Grenning and family, James C. Grimes and family, Martin Harding and Suzanne Rogers, Nancy Heiser, Dr. Richard M. Hodosh and Helga Fisch, John Jaxheimer, Anna Kaplan, John and Marceil Kazickas, Adam Meyer, Icim and Mark Miller, Maureen M. Nash, Katie Nojima, Sherry Peregrin, Toby and Itzhak Perlman, Lisa Rose, Sidney and Morgan Stark, Ewald and Lisbeth Tiltmann, James and Sharon Tompkins, Svetlana and Herbert Wachtell, Anjelika and Andrews Walker, Hilary and Eric Woodward, Lillian and John Woudsma, and George and Linda Yates.
