After completing two houses in only one week with the helping hands of over 500 local volunteers, Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County concluded its week-long "Blitz Build 2012" by presenting the keys to the two homeowners during a dedication ceremony on Sunday, February 19th at Habitat's Stevens Creek subdivision in Clearwater, Florida.

Many thanks to Habitat Pinellas' legion of community volunteers who took on the challenge of building the houses in just seven days in support of the annual fundraising and Habitat awareness event. Special thanks to the house sponsors, Lokey Automotive Group and Publix Super Markets Charities. Volunteers from the staff of both corporate sponsors were working at the build sites on a daily basis.

“With our Stevens Creek subdivision, we are building a community within a community,” said Steve Lightburn, VP Development for Habitat Pinellas. “But, we can’t do it alone. It is the help of our many volunteers and corporate sponsors, like Lokey Automotive and Publix, that enables Habitat Pinellas to build affordable homes for struggling families in our Pinellas community.”
