2011 Golf for Kids Tournament

May 1, 2011 – New Hope Charities’ 11th Annual “Golf for Kids” Tournament, chaired by Alex Fanjul and William Surtees, took place at the elegant and exclusive Dye Preserve in Jupiter on April 26, 2011.

Each year, friends and supporters of New Hope gather to raise funds for programs serving families in need in the Glades. Golfers and patrons enjoyed a great time of golf, a traditional Cuban lunch buffet and an awards ceremony. The tournament raised over $55,000 to support important community service and education programs.

New Hope Charities continues to make strides in this underserved community of Pahokee and Belle Glade with programs to fight hunger and foster education. The Food Assistance Program helps children and families to have their basic needs met in this tough economy. Through New Hope’s education and after-care programs, children stay off the streets and receive the tutoring and encouragement needed to help them succeed, ultimately giving them hope for a brighter future.
